From the Monstrouos City, we militantly salute you and send you our solidarity in these moments of such importance for the social resistance in Oaxaca and in Mexico. We are accompanying you in your just struggle from here, and we are making it known as well as our means, our radio station, will allow.
With this short letter we tell you that we at Ké Huelga Radio take as our own the principle demands of The Popular Assembly of the People of Oaxaca (APPO), and as adherents to The Other Campaign, we send out a call to all organizations, groups, and individuals that participate in social resistance, to join together in the following demands: The dismissal of the repressing governor of Oaxaca, Ulises Ruiz; the liberation of the political prisoners that have been taken from the movement; A stop to the repression.
Compañeros of the APPO, those of us who participate in this radio station recognize and salute the actions that have permitted your bottom-up self-organization, in which you have succeded not only in raising your voice against the oppressor, but, above all, in creating the possibility for popular, traditional, or indigenous governments, outside of the logic of official mechanisms, institutions, or parties, to be created and to defend themelves.
In light of the continuous attacks by the state, in this moment is it very important that all our voices be lifted in solidarity with those of our Oaxacan sisters and brothers in their struggle. Compañeros of the APPO, receive this certainty: many people are alert to the development of your movement. If we can help you with anything, please let us know.
Long live the struggle of the Oaxacan people
